Some Power strokes of automobiles history


  • The Italians have designed the wind driven vehicles in 1335 and the name was Vigevano. 

  • The First Vehicle that was able to run on his own was designed by Nicholas Joseph Cugnot and constructed by M. Brezin in 1769. You can see a duplicate of the original vehicle at the Conservatoire des Arts et Metiers, in Paris. 
  • However it is believed that the first four-cylinder, four-stroke engine was built by - Wilhelm Maybach in 1890. 
  • Inventor of the modern automobile is Karl Benz as he Invented a four-stroke cycle gasoline engine in 1885. 
  • As automobiles field is generally believed as a Male dominated sector but the first long distance automobile driver in the world Bertha Benz who was the wife of Karl Benz.
